Finally Dying Light‘s long awaited DLC has dropped and it is packed with new content and gameplay. Taking the player character Kyle Crane outside of the fictional city of Harran into the middle eastern country’s rural side, “This looks better than most zombie games I’ve seen,” said Senior Triston Baull. Players who survived the insane zombie parkour fueled adventure will find themselves craving the cramped inner city spaces however, seeing as the map is about ninety percent flat fields and farms.

The expansion features a disturbing follow up story to that of the base game in which former GRE Agent Kyle Crane ventures to the countryside after hearing of survivors who are immune to the zombie virus. The search leads the protagonist to meet The Faceless, a mysterious cult who worship the one known as “The Mother”.

Adding at least ten hours of new gameplay (on the lowest difficulty), players will find themselves immersed in a totally new campaign. Not to mention finding, upgrading, and maintaining their own vehicle which can be upgraded by finding or crafting new parts such as a new engine or suspension. Players will also find a plethora of new equipment to help them survive in their new surroundings such as a Daryl Dixon style crossbow, bow and arrow, new shotguns and more.

In addition to new player gear, there are new challenges such as races, parkour challenges, and new arena style boss battles against super mutated zombies. The free update that patched in the expansion has also added a graphical overhaul, new gameplay features, and most importantly, the Legend perk system that rewards long time players by allowing them to continue leveling up their character after they fully complete the basic skill trees. “The Legend system is actually pretty useful” Said Junior Joshua Dorofee

Fans of the 2015 sleeper hit can get their hands on the DLC now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC as it is currently retailed for $19.99 on all platforms.
