National Signing Day changes the lives of many young student athletes. All their hard work will finally come to fruition. Players all across the country sign to play college football at the D1, D2, D3 and JUCO level. Putting pen to paper and wearing the cap of their team is a special moment for these athletes.

Signing day is covered by multiple media outlets including ESPN U, which covers it live. Local newspapers and TV stations cover players signing along the Delmarva Peninsula. Many local high school football players will be spotlighted by the media outlets.

Some of the notable singings last Wednesday from the state of Delaware included Smyrna Quarterback Nolan Henderson who committed to the University of Delaware. Several upstate players committed to Division I programs including Zachariah Burton, a cornerback from William Penn, who committed to the University of Virginia.

Many other players from the state committed to Division II and Division III schools. Last Wednesday  won’t be the end of National Letters being signed, however. Many players who did not sign, will sign in the near future, including some players at Cape. The most likely player to sign in the upcoming future is Robert Mitchell. Who has a offer from Shepherd.
