The Ridings at Rehoboth have donated over $1000 dollars for the 2018 Prom. The funds were raised to buy Prom tickets for students who may not have been able to purchase themselves. This is a prime example of how the Cape community gives back. “We are so fortunate to have people who care about us,” Senior Mikayla Cannon said. “It makes us feel special!” Prom is a once in a lifetime event that gets costly. From the price of tickets, to the attire, and any extras, Prom can cost students more than one hundred dollars. “Prom is super expensive and these people are making Prom happen,” says Senior Denay Cox. “A person shouldn’t miss out on Prom because they can’t afford it,” Senior Jenay Cox added. Thanks to the Ridings, Prom will be a great experience for any student who wants to go to Prom. Prom will be held on May 12 at The Ivy in Dewey. The junior class is working hard to ensure this Prom is one that no one forgets. Thank you to those members of the Ridings at Rehoboth who contributed to the fund.
