Leo Club, Manga Club, Games Club, all clubs at cape that have been around for some while. Now a new club joined the scene: The Consperacy Club. Immediately two questions come up, along with many more: What is the Consperacy club about? and What kind of things do they talk about in the club?

To solve the multitude of questions, the manager of the Consperacy Club was consulted, Mrs. Bassett, the teacher in charge of the Psychology and US History classes for many Juniors and Seniors. Starting from the beginning Mrs. Bassett told that, “I actually didn’t start it the kids came to me and asked them if I could help them. The 4 kids started the club and they needed a teacher to help them, so they came to me.” and those 4 kids are the Juniors April Rulo, Leo Lombardi, Will Kaier, and John McKay. In addition to that “there are 51 members or 51 members signed up on our Schoology page.” This connects to classic conspiracies surrounding Area 51 and to what the Consperacy club is about, “The kids discuss several well known conspiracies. Like If man really landed on the moon or if aliens exist.” Mrs. Bassett said.
The 4 leaders both lead the discussions and choose the topics, as long as it’s allowed. As for when the next meeting is and their schedule, Mrs. Bassett said that, “Sometime in January. We try to alternate the weeks with the other clubs because some of the students in Consperacy club are in other clubs.”

One of the leaders, Junior April Rulo, gave insight into the students side of the club. April told that she and the other leaders started the club “as a way that let people to discuss different theories also as a to have fun discussions and meet new people.” And she gave some info on their meetings saying that it’s “usually it’s just us in a group discussing. The officers sit at the front of the group discussing. But they’re very open to the students.” That the club is “going well we usually get 30 members at our meeting and we’re looking to expand.” and that they usually talk about, “some of the more popular conspiracies as well as the less popular ones, we try to let the students choose the topics and we use Schoology to let them get their ideas to us.”
